We often provide updates of current events in these pages. Sometimes, we also update previous stories with new or corrected information. We at The Current have accumulated a few such items to call to your attention this week.

Abbot Michael Brunner offered homilies on November 1 to the School community gathered for the Solemnity of All Saints and on November 2 for the morning Mass for All Souls. We include both homilies, in which he highlights the vocation each of us has to become a saint, as well as the need of souls for our prayers.

As part of our recurring series on “Places of the Monastery”, we turn to the oldest extant building on the grounds, the “Seth Anthony House”, built in the mid-18th century. And we hear from Seth Anthony himself and his experience there of the Battle of Rhode Island during the American Revolution.
