He reflects on how, whether it was attentively participating in the General Chapter, vacationing in the Poconos. or carrying on with the summer’s activities here at Portsmouth, “it became clear to me that the concept of listening, and of trying to become better at it, would occupy many of my thoughts and waking hours…”

The summer has witnessed renewed travel, including our community participation in the General Chapter, visitors joining us here at Portsmouth, and some vacation trips. These create a sense of renewal, also visible in ongoing work done on the grounds and facilities.
