The Zimbabwe Community | The Manquehue Inspiration | LITURGY Beginning with Prayer
  • The Zimbabwe Community

    • Brother Sixtus Roslevich recently created an active and intriguing exhibit in the School’s Burden Classroom Building display case, featuring mementos of his Zimbabwe experience. He writes: “During my 16 years as a monk, I have been blessed to have spent two extended mission stints at Christ the Word. On the occasion of this silver jubilee, it was suggested that I share a little bit about the life of the monks there.”  In this article he reports on some of the successes and some of the struggles experienced by this dynamic community in Africa.

This week we note Benedict’s admonition to begin any new work with prayer, looking in particular at petitionary prayer in our monastic liturgies.
