The Current returns to weekly publication, as we enter into a new fall semester for the School. We welcome back our readers and invite them to keep current with the ongoing life of the monastery, which continues to see new growth and development. And we continue to tweak this newsletter’s format, to better express the life and mission of our extended monastic community.

In welcoming back a grateful group of oblates of the Abbey to a long-awaited in-person gathering, Br. Sixtus Roslevich pointed out that it was “exactly 1 year, 8 months, and 3 weeks since the last Day of Recollection,” held on December 8, 2019, “before our world was turned upside down.” Dr. Peter Simpson provided a thought-provoking reflection on faith, inspired by Newman’s Apologia Pro Vita Sua, and the oblates renewed their promises of oblation.
